My Favorite "On~The~Go" Nutrition bars

I am often asked what is the best Protein bar or energy bar.


I will always recommend making your own, such as my INSIDE OUT FITNESS' MAGNUM BARS
found about half way through the page INSIDE OUT FITNESS NUTRITION.


HOWEVER, this isn't always available to us and you may have to grab and go from the local grocery store.


My TOP TWO choices are

Well..... with a sweet plum-pomegranate flavour, and 4 FULL servings of both Vegetables AND fruit per bar..... its a clear choice.


Calorically it fills the mid day need for the perfect serving or protein, carbohydrate and healthy fats ( coming from seeds and nuts)

REBAR Seeds'N'Greens
85% Organic
Per bar:
             210 calories
             8g fat (1g saturated)
             29g carbohydrates 
             10g fibre (THIS ALONE IS AWESOME)
             6 g protein

The main reason I push these bars is because the ingredients are REAL WHOLE FOOD. You KNOW what everything is when you read it.

There are hundreds if not thousands of 'protein bars' or 'energy bars' on the shelves of stores across the country, but pick one up and try to tell me what the ingredients are lol.
If the list is longer than...... 5-10 ingredients, it likely is NO GOOD.
If you have to ask yourself.... "what is .... blah blah blah?" put it away:)

Again, if you have the ability ( and this requires a few groceries, and approximately 20 minutes..... you can make my personal favorites.......




**INSIDE OUT FITNESS MAGNUM BARS:**
8 scoops chocolate protein - MAGNUM QUATTRO, Chocolate Love Protein INFO
1C oats
1C oat flour( blended oats)
2/3C apple sauce unsweetened
1/4C cocoa
1/2C Graham crumbs
1/4C carob chips
stevia to taste if needed
Mix all dry ingredients together, add in apple sauce slowly, adding more IF needed. This mixture should be moist but not wet. Stirring will feel like cement mixing :)

Tear 8-10 pieces of tin foil aprox 5'x3
drop equal amounts of mixture into foil, turning the edges up to protect the sides, and if there is left over tinfoil, just wrap the whole bar.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, checking on the bars often.

*IF OVER COOKED, they are ruined*
The centre should be slightly soft to touch.
TO STORE: I zip loc a bunch in an air tight bag and store in fridge, and remove the am I plan to eat it
PER BAR:

250 cals,20g pro, 16g carb, 1g fat
