THANK THE LORD, I have began educating myself further into my personal training career both through books, vlogs and conversations with incredibly interesting and intelligent people who share my love for health and fitness.
I have always taken my typical Multi Vitamin, Omega and more recently daily CLA and VERY recently a natural supplement by the name CHLORELLA.
This came to me by recommendation of my yoga instructor, who seems to be a walking encyclopedia or nutritional information.
I did my research and headed to Planet Organic to pick up my first bottle and away I went.....Week ONE almost done and I feel fabulous.
Here is a little information for you on the SUPER FOOD that is CHLORELLA.
Chlorella is a powerful detoxification aid for heavy metals and other pesticides, as well as an aid in breaking down persistent hydrocarbon and metallic toxins, such as mercury, cadmium and lead, DDT and PCB while strengthening the bodies immune response.
Chlorella is a fibrous nutrient and therefore a large aid in healthy digestive system,
DETOXIFICATION:
Chlorella is made of a fibourous indigestible outter shell ( 20%) with the remaining nutrients being 80% are held inside.
The high fiborous material is what has been proven to bind with the toxic heavy metals and pesticides inside our body.
Along with the thorough bowel and other elimination channels cleansing, chlorella also protects the liver and thus helps keep our blood clean. Clean blood ensures our metabolic wastes are carried away properly. Chlorella helps in keeping a high red blood cell count as well as a clean bloodstream, as this is crucial for a strong natural defense system.
Chlorophyl is one of the oldest and greatest natural food source for cleansing the bowel and other elimination channels. You can tell from the name, Chlorella has a very high count of chlorophyl in it. Green algea are the highest source of chlorophyl in the plant world. Of all the green algea studied, Chlorella has continually showed up the highest in natural chlorophyll.
You've heard the term 'hemoglobin'.....well in case you didn't know what it was, here you go.
Hemoglobin is the protein in our red blood cells in which gives out blood the pretty red color.
Why does this matter in regards to Chlorella???
Chlorophyll cells are almost identical to hemoglobin except for one thing. Chlorophyll has a magnesium molecule in the center and Hemoglobin has an iron. Magnesium is ESSENTIAL for proper heart function, every heart beat requires magnesium molecules.
Chlorella stimulates red blood cell production, fighting against anemia. It is also often called the BRAIN FOOD, owned well die to its massive aid in carrying fresh oxygen around the body and to the brain
ADDED BONUSES:
Among the previous listed benefits, Chlorella, due to its high chlorophyll count drastically improves bad breath and strong scented stool, in just a matter of days.
Chlorella stimulates specific cancer fighting agents within the body (macrophage), thus increasing and strengthening the immune system to be a very powerful natural bacterial and cancer fighter.
Chlorophyllase and Pepsin are two digestive enzymes found within chlorella, and will provide BEST results taken in their natural un alterd state.
* DO NOT take chlorella if it has been freeze dried or pasteurized**
ALKALINE and ACID..... PH BALANCING~ This is another blog topic in itself, however we have all heard of it, and what we IDEALLY will possess is a balanced PH which sits around 7.2-7.4
Due to our societies unhealthy nutritional habits, most people sit in around 2.7.
Cancers and other disease THRIVE in a low alkaline, high acidic environment. Now on the flip side, they CAN NOT survive in an alkaline environment.
Chlorella helps to balance out our ALKALINE levels.
Chlorella also normalizes our blood sugar levels and blood pressure, which is mandatory for healthy brain function, heart function and energy metabolism.
Here is a link with details on HOW MUCH CHLORELLA YOU SHOULD TAKE!!!
