75 Ways to Love Your Oatmeal

Today I received what will likely become my bible in the mail......
I have thought about buying this book for months, I follow her on FB and Twitter, and have loved reading all her great ideas..... so I bit the bullet ( not a big bullet...and worth the bite) and I CAN NOT wait to dig in and start cooking :)

Find Jen's Book HERE!!!!

Another great thing happened today...
I went to yoga, with a new friend Alex. My room mates brother has moved back to Vic from a season of college hockey and has brought his lovely lady friend.
After a  week off from yoga, it was undoubtedly tough, but not TOO tough...the room was HOT, and we all powered through and finished :)
Such a beautiful feeling~
Almost every class I can count on my instructor, whomever they may be, to finish the 90 minutes with a perfect quote, there has been so many I wish I had of began writing them down earlier, but today my instructor said this:
" We too often expect immediate changes in life and more so in our bodies with yoga. It has taken you your whole life to get where you are, just be where you are at this moment, in this class, in this day, just be. You are getting in your own way, every day you judge yourself. Do yourself a favour and just get out of your way"

What else happened today.....

I made another batch of my ENERGY BALLS ..... and they just NEVER get old ....i don't mean this literally, (they will only last in the freezer for 2-3 months) I just mean that i love them just as much each time as I did the first time.
I purchased all I need for the favorable Cinnamon Swirl Protein Bread, also found in the link above  (with the energy balls) but have yet to make it. I am substituting the Brown Sugar Splenda it calls for, for Stevia as it is much healthier with no controversial questions. So we will see if it changes the taste or texture.

Today's workout consisted of an early morning skipping interval before work and then of course yoga mid day. I will up the intensity again tomorrow with a full body circuit or body weight and cardio in the morning with my room mate, and then focus on strength and size later in the day.

Food today looked like this:

AM- Protein pancake with greek yogurt
SNACK- Energy ball
LUNCH- Quinoa tofu salad over spinach
SNACK- 1 apple, 2 squares of an Elevate Me
DINNER-Seared tuna taco( corn shell, mango, corn, pepper cilantro salsa) 6 spears of asparagus

As I sit in bed now the game is on and I cant help but be excited. I'm gonna be honest, I am not a hockey fan until this time of year, and yes call me it if you will.......
"I AM A BAND WAGON FAN" of the Vancouver Canucks

As I wrote this last line, we scored our 4th goal of the game, putting us 2 goals ahead in game 2 round 3:)
**** This is a  good thing for my fellow band wagoners ;)******

On that note my friends, thank you for following along with me on this 2 month progress tracking, I promise that come June 17th-
I will be taking blog requests, and start writing about some more important issues other than MY day to day life lol

Good night
~Ky
