Celebrating YOU

This morning was a good morning!

One of my wonderful female clients has hit her 100 pound mark!!!  Can you just THINK about that for a moment.......

When I started thinking of things that weighed 100 pounds I found this blog, of a woman who, She herself had lost 100 pounds..... this is her blog.....

Things that weigh 100 pounds :)

It's moments like this one ( along with many other heart warming milestones) that I thank the greater power for the ability to do my job, and to LOVE my job....
There was a time in my life, when I was told that pursuing a career as a personal trainer was "too hard"
I "wouldn't make any money," I " would never have a steady job" blah blah blah..... and it was my Dad who told me to 'screw em' and try it !!!

If my heart was in it, I would make it work.

7 years later, I am quite happily making it work...... and mornings like TODAY, prove to me yet again, Why I do what I do.

I am crying as I type this, and I want to shout her name to the world, because without HER, I wouldn't be able to do this. Whats really neat is ( I think) she would say the same.... but the fact is, so many people 'want' to lose weight and make life changes, but I'm dead serious when i say it takes the right person, it takes a FULLY FOCUSED, DETERMINED path of thought and desire, that not everybody has, or has it YET!!!
You HAVE it, it might be hidden, tucked away under years of bad habits and incorrect information from years of reading this or that........ and when its ready, when YOUR ready, you can absolutely make your goals a reality.

~ On a separate note, lets talk 1000 reps..... just for a moment.
If you haven't read the post from Sunday or watched the youtube video.... I invite you to here:

1000 Rep Sunday Punishment - video
                                                                   Sundays Blog
Not only was it a good morning because of the wonderful news, but also of the physical reminder that yesterday, I kicked ass... My own ass, and I done good ;)

My calves ( which i originally attribute to the stair sprints on Saturday morning) were suuuuuper tight.....my buns.. Ohhhhh the buns.... such a great feeling having the buns sore. My abs..... MY WHOLE TORSO really, even the mid back and up into my Rhomboids and Traps. I could feel literally every muscle from my ankles up to my arms, and for those of you who train regularly, you know and likely appreciate this sensation as much as I do.

I did my Monday workout today, but the intensity was lower than the past few days, and was mainly back, chest and shoulder focused. There was really no pre planning here, I did what we'd call "WINGIN IT" :)

I started with TABATA style of 20 seconds active / 10 second rest for 3 minutes.

Bent over KB row - alternating sides each 20 seconds
100 skips

Next was a Glute Bridge KB fly 10 / Weighted glute squeeze 10 Repeated 2 times *video at bottom of page*
100 skips

TRX iron cross ( these are not fun, and rather difficult- Will post a video later)

60 seconds kneeling 1 legged hop up * video at the bottom of page*
60 second glute bridge squeeze
Repeat 2 times

Bent over Reverse fly / Front raise / Lateral raise  ( 10 each)

**kneeling 1 legged hop ups
**Glute bridge KB fly

My rest of my day has actually been very mellow and relaxed , as I write this now I have the smell of cooking surrounding me while the sweet dogs cuddle tight up against me.
Kevin is on his way home from Vancouver, which makes me very happy...... I feel like He's been gone for a week...lol its only been a day and a half.

I will be heading back to work for another 3 hours shortly, and I really can't wait:)

Each of my clients has their own story, their own struggles and their own goals. Each has reached heights in their journey, some higher than the other, but none less important than the next.
So HERE'S to them, and Here's to YOU, in everything you do to make a positive change in your life.
XO
~Ky
