2011 WAS A YEAR TO SMILE ABOUT....
It was a year of change both from a business stand point as well as personal....If you don't mind sticking around for a few minutes Im going to tell you allllll about it :)
It all started in January...

Kevin and I rang in 2011 in Parksville at pretty little piece of property by the name of
"PACIFIC SHORES".
We had a lovely room with an ocean view and in room fire place, where we ate delicious food and played numerous amounts of Scrabble :)
YES we played a lot of scrabble... we're THOSE people!!!

I also had the pleasure of making my way over to Vancouver a few times this month to visit some wonderful friends over there.... and again, some yummy food......
In February, Kev and I did our traditional Tofino trip to celebrate his birthday. We found a very special little cottage in Uculet that we have continued going to each year, and sending those we love there as well..... POINT WEST COTTAGES
I had the pleasure of taking my Dad to see SIR ELTON JOHN, which was an emotional night for me. My Mom was the reason I listened to Elton, and knowing how badly She would have wanted to be there, was hard. However seeing the joy in my Dad's eyes, and watching him rock the air drum was more than enough to warm my heart.....

The month of March brought the business change to my world..... and what I know now as the BEGINNING !!!!

and she is growing up so quickly ;)
To celebrate the new business Kevin and I took a beautiful weekend trip to one of my favorite islands..... SALT SPRING ISLAND.
The resort was recommended to us by a friend, some of you may know her as DAMY HEALTH, Amy Layne.
We relaxed, drank wine, ate the most incredible BRUSSLE SPROUTS believe it or not at a local water front pub SHIPSTONE.......we both had appointments at the spa....and went home rested.
I don't remember the dates.... but somewhere in there I flew out to meet Kevy in Edmonton and we road tripped back through the beautiful province of BC with the end goal of hitting up Whistler for a day of boarding...... We ended up snagging last minute tickets to a Canucks play off game.... game 3 or 4.... i think.... SO MUCH FUN!!
Kevin became an uncle for the second time in March to his very best friend's daughter Tianna
Kevin is a proud uncle of both Tianna and Ellie :)
Going through my calendar, it looks like April was low key.....
The first Sunday in May was the Times Colonist 10 k run which I did with the team at The Condo Group
I also became a Stella and Dot Stylist this Spring as a side project with my room mate Serena, and through the spring months we were getting comfortable with the project, hosting trunk shows on weekends.
June 2011 was a fun one for my Boot Campers. We all headed over to Vancouver, got a hotel room, were in the midst of the craziness of Game 5 ( being in Vancouver at this time was chaotic and awesome!!!)
We went for mexican food, and literally RAN down the streets to find the crowds and the second we won game 5 the city lit up..... and we were right smack dab in the middle.
The next morning we hiked Grouse Mountain, otherwise known as "THE GROUSE GRIND".... It was such a great team building experience. During the weekend we had a birthday to celebrate as well.... and SO WE DID!!!The following week was LAS VEGAS!!!!! My cousin lives in the Caymen Islands and she was turning 30 and her plan was to, regardless of WHERE in the world she lived.... her 30th would take place in the city that never sleeps.........
July was the month I turned ..ughhhh 28.
However.... I also got to see Seattle for the first time since I was.... 7. Kevin and I got a great deal with Clipper vacations and spent 2 nights at the Westin downtown Seattle.. had some INCREDIBLE breakfast at Portage Bay. When I say incredible..... the photo below is a small version of the waffle and pancake bar. This delightful bundle of berries topped my vegan banana flax pancakes SO PERFECTLY!!
We did Pike Place market, the Space Needle, shopping, The duck tour, the under ground tour....We wined, we dined...... we celebrated my birthday each day we were there, and when it was time to go home, I had to be pulled kicking and screaming

Needless to say ... I fell in love with Seattle..... I will go back!
August was GIRL TIME... and it all began with a romantic evening with
THE Michael Buble...... Oh, and Serena.
For my birthday, Serena took me on a date to see the BUBE, and we ended up chatting with him for a while at Fiamo later that evening........ We felt giddy for about a week.... :)

The three of us soaked up the sun, the wine and the FABULOUS food. We stayed in the heart of Penticton at the Penticton Lake Resort and had a room overlooking the lake and the nightly outside live music:)
As Fall rolled around, and kids went back to school.... life settled down for short while.
October brought some more excitement, with 2 concerts.... One with my Dad and Step Mom....... we saw.. Get ready..... THE MOODY BLUES!!!
Now, when I heard they were coming to town i was legitimately excited.... thinking I KNEW who they were... lol
No... about a week before the show, I realized I had NO IDEA who these guys were..... but I went anyway and had a blast!!!!
Dad loved it, and again, seeing your parent happy is enough to warm the soul for days!!!
I also had the opportunity to take Kevin's 6 year old niece to see SELENA GOMEZ. I have a client who graciously gave me 3 box seat tickets, knowing I had an eager 6 year old DYING to see the show!
Aside from the 8000 screaming 10 year old girls, we all had a really good time!!!
October is also my MOMMA'S birthday month...... The concert actually landed ON mommas birthday, and so I celebrated by making a sweet 6 year old girl really happy:)
The last week in October I flew out to meet Kevin in Edmonton, for a plat date and road trip home...... We spent the day at West Edmonton Mall for my first time..... and the bloody roller coaster kicked my ass!
By ASS i mean my neck...... I had a not so ideal experience on that coaster and left with absolutely no ability to move my neck..... and we still had a 12 hour drive ahead :(
November...... THIS was a cool month for me.

Kevin and I went back to Kona, Hawaii for a short but incredibly relaxing 5 day vacation. We stayed in our favorite hotel ( The Royal Kona Resort) and actually got our room from last year!!!
Literally a day and a half after we landed back in cold Canada, I was off to Ottawa to host BODYROCK.TV
THIS was my highlight of the year.... I think....... random, exciting, nerve racking, and REALLY FUN!!
I spent 5 days in Kingston, and filmed 4 intense workouts...... ate some delicious tapas and celebrated with even more delicious rose champagne....... Cant remember the name, my God I wish I could.

Working with Magnum has been such a wonderful opportunity. I have loved and used Magnum products for the last 4 years simply because I believe they are THE BEST!
I now can call myself a Team Magnum Athlete and happily promote the products to all of my clients and friends who are looking to improve their health and fitness level.
The year ended with GUESS WHAT?????!!!
Another concert.... have you guessed yet that I love live music??? lol Well I have saved the BEST for last........
It's NO BIG DEAL but Prince is the SHIT!!!!
I was lucky enough to have a client take myself and Serena along with him to the show of the year!!!!
Words CAN NOT explain the power of this concert......anyone who has evern questioned WHY Prince is so lucky with the ladies.... or WHY he's as popular as he is in general....... SEE HIM LIVE!!!!
My year ended VERY much the same as Your's with the Christmas buzz and the end of 2011......
I spent the holidays with those I love... my family, Kevin, Kevin's family and the dogs........ The end of a fabulous year means my plate is OPEN and ready to be filled with 2012.
May this year bring health, happiness, travel, lessons, joy, dancing, smiling, laughter, comfort, self awareness, self love, patience, calmness and anything else the universe feels I need........
