Holiday Baking~PUMPKIN PIE the trainers way

It's a holiday favorite and has been for years..... in household between the months of mid October through until New Years......

-PUMPKIN PIE-

Jam packed full of unnecessary calories, there are an estimated 320 calories in ONE slice of home made pumpkin pie.... that's WITHOUT the whipped cream or ice cream:(

DEADLY CALORIES TO BE AVOIDED???...........NOT ANYMORE!!!

I think its a common practice for trainers to play with recipes involving
"TREATS & DESSERTS", because 90% of the time we practice what we are preaching.... and that generally is NO SWEETS!!
Well if we (trainers) can find a way to have our "pie" and eat it too....TRUST ME WE WILL!!!!
So here it is!!!
G~U~I~L~T~L~E~S~S

This recipe can be made into 2 medium - large pies, or 6-8 single servings
( I use 4" re-usable tin baking trays)

1 large can Pumpkin Pure
5Tbsp Brown sugar splenda ( typically I prefer stevia, however you need the mass of the splenda and stevia would end up being much too sweet)
1/3 can Skim evaporated milk
2 scoops Vanilla protein powder ( I use QUATTRO vanilla by MAGNUM NUTRACEUTICALS)
1/2 tsp each : cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice
* more spice if desired*

Mix all together, spoon into your desired size pie plates ( lightly grease the bottoms)
Bake @ 350 for aprox 35 minutes.
Checking occasionally. The ideal look is a darkened glazed top.
~Allow the pie to sit and chill for 5-10 minutes before serving. ( I personally think this baby tastes BEST the next day.... after it has chilled in the fridge..... JUST my personal opinion)

*CRUST OPTION*
Yes you can do a crust with this if your craving the crunch a bit.....If Im honest I cant give you measurements.... I always wing this part......
Graham crumbs + egg whites...... start with about :

3/4C Graham crumbs IN the pan you will be baking in
add in about....2-3 whites
-Using a fork, begin whisking in a circular motion. As it begins to stick together you will need to begin actually 'forming' the crust.
You can bake this at 350 for 7-10 minutes, or until it slightly darkens a  golden tone.
Remove from heat, place pie filler in and re bake the remainder of time.

Per single serving pie you are well under 100 calories.
For an even lower cal treat, omit the protein powder and your serving is aprox 40 calories!!!

I'M NOT EVEN LYING!!!

May or may not be having one as I type this...... ;)
